Look at the composition of this shot! I mean, seriously. Tokyo Story was one of the three Criterion films I watched on Hulu over the long weekend. Just in the past couple of months I have been watching Ozu’s films, but this is the first one of the three I’ve seen that made me cry.
Late Spring, 1949. I watched this movie twice in one night (the second time I had the Criterion commentary on).
