New details emerge about Shirley MacLaine’s role on Downton Abbey. In an interview with TV Guide, she describes her new character, Martha Levinson, mother of Lady Cora:
She is from Long Island and finally lands at Downton Abbey and sees what’s happening to the place when everyone’s coming back from the war.
She does not share any scenes with Mr. Bates (Shirley’s favorite character on the show) but does share screen time with Mr. Carson and of course, Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith). [image]
