Red is an instinctive choice for me. Of course, I love the colour of red very much. But I suppose I use it because it gives an intensity to the place where you use it. It’s a very expressive colour and in Spain red also represents life, fire, death, blood, passion and carnations – which is the flower-symbol from Spain. (x)

But it’s the only Almodóvar movie in which feeling, emotional or sexual, doesn’t suffuse the imagery and hold the ramshackle melodrama together.
David Edelstein on ‘The Skin I Live In’ — New York Magazine Movie Review. This is what I was afraid of… think I’ll wait for this one on DVD (if I watch it at all).

Adapting ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’ - NYTimes.com.  I don’t know what to think about this.  One of my favorite movies turned into a musical? (and I see Justin Guarini is gonna be in it…) Meh.
