I am leaving work early to catch the Justice Sotomayor taping of KLRU’s Overheard this afternoon. So many people RSVP’d that they emailed us a notice saying that they have an overflow room set up.
I better get into the main studio!

Since I don’t eat red meat, I’m not as diehard a BBQ fanatic as most Austinites. Still, this seems like a nifty idea!
While Bill Clinton has been talking
- I’ve cleaned my cat’s litterbox
- I’ve swept my kitchen
- my local PBS station has switched to Austin City Limits
SO. MUCH. BBQ. Since I don’t eat red meat and I looooove my BBQ sauce, I’m leaning towards Black’s or Chisholm Trail for our trip to Lockhart. Maybe both? [Video: Lockhart, TX | Watch The Daytripper Online | KLRU Video]

Austin City Limits - ACL Marathon Weekend Recap: 5 bands, 5 tapings, 5 days
I took the day off work yesterday to attend Gomez’s afternoon ACL taping. It was as wonderful as I hoped, even if they didn’t play “Girlshapedlovedrug.”
My Gomez live performance count is now at: 4. This was the first time I’ve seen them without my friend G, but she couldn’t miss work, sadface. Instead I took my friend K (Gomez newbie!), along with my pastor/friend J and his friend visiting from out of town. They all enjoyed it!
I saw some excellent jewelry in this piece that I want to check out. [KLRU Collective: Austin Chic]

Austin City Limits - Coldplay, The Head and The Heart, Arcade Fire, Gomez and Randy Newman this September in the studio
Must find a way to get on list for the Gomez ACL taping. I will totally take a day off work if I can get into that.
KLRU Collective: Play Me, I’m Yours (by KLRU)
Nice job, Bonita Sarita! I can’t wait to find a piano downtown I can play my one song on (that song: “Wherever You Go” by Richard Marx). Unless I can get someone to play “Heart and Soul” with me…

one of my photos (via phone) from the Band of Horses ACL taping. (Wow, this took a day to post.)
Hey, hey — the Band of Horses ACL ep airs this week on PBS! (with the National, if you’re into that band, which I’m not, really)
