Donna explains the excellence of Game of Thrones by saying that “everyone on that show can get it.” Would I watch a GoT/P&R crossover wherein Donna and Jaime Lannister team up to win the Iron Throne, lording over the Seven Kingdoms with style, bravery, and all-around hotness? Yes, yes I would.
I would, as well.
Here’s an idea: Game Of Thrones owes its success to piracy.
If you’re like us, you LOVE Game of Thrones. But if you’re also like us, you may not, technically, have… cable. So how are we seeing this amazing show on HBO, which is stuck behind a pay wall? A huge amount of viewers (not us of course, no no no) are downloading the show illegally. But despite being the most pirated show of 2012, the Game of Thrones DVDs are top sellers, breaking HBO’s own sales records!! Could it be that piracy is actually HELPING the show?!

Then there are those of us who aren’t really die-hard fans and just wait for the DVDs to come out so we can rent them from Netflix. In other words, I don’t care enough about GoT to even stream it, but I am slightly interested in it.
I love Dinklage interviews!
THEY ARE SIBLINGS.
Okay, the more I look, the more I see similarities, but still. I wouldn’t have made the connection.
I’ve learned this about three different times now, and every time I’m surprised.
And then I remember she wrote this song about him.
Maybe it’s for the best I always forget about it soon after. It’s funny every single time.
Oh, duh! I had forgotten all about her song “Alfie.”
You Know Nothing Jon Snow
I’ve been watching Game of Thrones via DVDs from Netflix (I started a couple weekends ago and am already to the last two eps, even amidst SXSW craziness!).
Jon Snow has quickly become one of my favorite characters. He and Arya Stark are pretty much the only characters who fascinate me, although Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion is wonderful as well.
Overall I don’t love the series as much as I expected to, but it’s fairly enjoyable.
Watching episode 2 of “Beauty and the Beast” on Netflix
