So if film requires an act of faith, does digital lack faith? Let it be known that I am asking this in a church. It’s all an act of faith. It’s a different kind of faith. All representations, every representation is an act of faith and will always disappoint you.—
I talked with the incredible photographer Gregory Crewdson for The Paris Review Daily. You should read it, we talk about Wes Anderson (there might just be a two year wait, at most, between Moonrise Kingdom and the next film, hooray!) and David Lynch and Terrence Malick and digital vs. film and all that good stuff. He’s a very nice man.
